Shax is a board game you can play in the apps for iPhone, iPad and Android and on this website. We collect as little data as possible: the game has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

The apps
The apps work offline and don't send data anywhere. The only thing they store is your language choice, on your device. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.
This website and the web version
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and your browser type. This data may be processed in Switzerland, the EU, the USA and other countries, with the safeguards required by law. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media plugins, and all fonts and files are served from this website.

Cookies and local storage
We don't set cookies. The web version saves your language choice in your browser's local storage so the game remembers it. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people and bots apart.
Your rights
You can ask us which data about you we have and have it corrected or deleted. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If Shax gets new features that use data, such as online play, we will update this policy before they go live.
